  • Operating this machine can be really easy, but before you start the engine it's really important that you familiarise yourself with the controls on this digger. We provide full training prior to hiring or on deliver of the digger, dumper or roller.

  • You usually don’t need a special license to operate a mini digger on private property or at a worksite. However, if you intend to drive it on public roads, a valid driving license is required.

  • There's no specific legal requirement to have insurance when hiring a mini digger in the UK.

    Rental Agreement Coverage:

Our rental agreements nclude insurance to cover the digger's loss or damage while in your possession, however you may need "digger insurance" or "hired-in plant insurance" if you want broader protection beyond basic theft and damage, particularly if you're driving it on public roads or want to protect yourself from public liability. We can arrange this for you on request.

  • The answer is yes—mini excavators can be highly effective in removing stumps, especially when equipped with the right attachments. Stump removal typically involves digging, lifting, and breaking the root system, and mini excavators are well-suited for these tasks.

  • A 1-ton mini excavator packs surprising power into a compact frame. These machines weigh around 2,000 pounds and can dig up to 6 feet deep - perfect for most residential projects. They're small enough to fit through standard garden gates but strong enough to handle serious digging.
